Dealing With Depression

   Feeling sad all the time can be classified as a serious medical condition called Depression.
Being depressed is painful and can lead one into commiting suicide. It can also make one feel helpless.

   Everyone feels sad at a cerrtain point but long-term sadness is not good because it will affect you physically.
Thanks to recent studies, here are some ways of dealing with depression:



Always Exercise
Not everyone loves exercising because it can be quite challenging so it's best to take a short walk thrice a week or you can move your body by dancing.
Dancing is also a form of exercise. When exercising, endorphins(brain chemicals) are increased.
Always exercise to keep fit and prevent depression.





Let Comedy Be Your Pal
Laughter is the best medicine because it increases dopamine in the brain.
Watching comedies, laughing with others or thinking about funny things can help to boost dopamine.


Get 7-8 hours of sleep
A goodnight sleep should last for atleast 7-8 hours inorder to improve health and energy levels. Always sleep in a room that is quiet.
Sleeping is important for the well being of the body.



Stay Hydrated
Always drink plain water daily. Staying hydrated removes toxins,helps in metabolism and even calms you down.
Did you know fact?
Drinking three glasses of water when angry calms you down.
Say NO to alcohol!





Negative thoughts
Thoughts like 'I'm a failure', 'I don't fit' , 'I should end my this whole stuff's or 'Everyone hates me' are common in a depressed person's mind.
Challenge your thoughts by refusing to be or do whatever comes to your mind.
For instance, if your mind says you don't fit, tell it that you weren't born to fit in the crowd but to lead the crowd!
You get it,right?
Never accept negative thoughts because it can lower your self esteem




Having a balanced diet
Eating junk foods and salty foods can cause weight gain, increase in blood sugar and bring bad moods this leading to depression but don't worry, I'm here to give you list of foods to avoid and foods that helps in dealing with depression ✔️

~Alcohol and Energy drinks
Alcohol and Energy drinks suppresses your central nervous system, affects sleeping and can even cause harm to your liver.
Say NO to Alcohol and Energy drinks.
Alcohol and Energy drinks won't make you feel better.


~Processed/Canned Foods
These foods are high in carbon,salt, additives and calories which increases inflammation throughout the body including your brain.
Say NO to processed/canned foods.


~Fried foods
These foods are high in cholesterol and calories and can lead to weight gain.
Say NO to fried foods.


~Sugary snacks and soda
High intake of these snacks and sodas can increase your blood sugar level and damage your liver and kidney.
Say NO to sugary snacks and soda.


~Bananas
Bananas are memory boosters containing Vitamin B6 which can cheer you up.
Say YES to Bananas.

~Leafy green vegetables
Leafy green vegetables are rich in iron and prevents bad moods, fatigue and other congition issues.
Say YES to Leafy green vegetables.


~Salmon
Salmon helps in memory boosting and it's easy to cook and prepare.
Say YES to Salmon.


~Fruits like oranges and strawberries
Oranges and Strawberries can help to prevent Alzheimer's disease because it contains Vitamin C which prevents brain cells from damaging.
Say YES to Oranges and Strawberries.


~Avocado
Avocado is rich in both monounsaturated fat and antioxidant for improved blood circulation and cell repair.
Say YES to Avocados.


~Tea
Tea helps in productivity but don't have more than 2 cups daily.
